Welcome to Setting Sun
Stables LLC, one of the most hard working and
honest horse training centers around. You can
always depend on getting value out of your training
dollars in quality and results.
At Setting Sun
Stables LLC our goals are to create
a winning and competitive atmosphere for both
horse and rider, by maintaining the best
physical health and well being of each horse.
Our professional, full service facility
extends to both Purebred Arabian and Half Arabian
horses. We are conveniently located in North Central
Indiana with training year round.
We strongly believe in a better
future for our Arabians and Half Arabians, and
are currently working hard to provide for this
future. Through a new but strong breeding and
sales program we are setting a new standard for
quality, good minded and sound horses. Our goal
is to be the "go to" facility for the best and
most competitive Arabians and Half Arabians.

At the heart of our program is our
trainer, Joe Reser. Joe, as his clients will confirm,
is a passionate, goal driven trainer. A great
example of this was his personal goal to obtain
a National win before he was 30. He accomplished
this one year early by unanimously winning National
Champion Half Arabian Western Pleasure Junior
horse in 2002. Then his rider, Susan Lake,
won her first National Championship in the Amateur
Owner division, with the same horse, Ima Rock Star. Since that time he has added two
more National titles and numerous Top Tens, plus
multiple Regional and Local Championships with
his horses and his riders.
Joe has been riding since at least
the age of four and showing since he was six.
Prior to becoming a professional trainer in 1994,
he apprenticed and schooled with numerous professional
trainers. He continues to listen and learn
from his piers and even takes the time to help
out new trainers along the way. Joe was recognized
by his piers and the Arabian Horse World magazine
as one of the Top Three Western Trainers in the
country.
Joe's biggest rewards, "are
when his amateurs win and do well." In fact that
is another of his personal goals, "that all of
my amateur riders go National Top 10 or better
each year". Due to his passion and drive of these
goals he has even revitalized several of his clients
to want to stay with the business of showing and
breeding Arabians and Half Arabians. They feel
he has helped them see a great future through
his accomplishments, talent and hard work ethics.
Speaking again of the future let us introduce
you to Joe and the evidence of his "good eye"
for good horses.

Farm Philosophy: Commitment to our
horses, clients and breeding. We want to see a
strong future for our Arabians and Half Arabians.
We feel that through a quality breeding program
this can be achieved. We are working now, by providing
a foundation of good minded, trainable and sound
horses that can be shown and enjoyed for all riders
at any level of experience. Our care and commitment
to our horses is paramount. This is indicated
through our high quality feed and nutrition program,
which we analyze and monitor constantly. We work
hard to keep the future of our horses strong.
